Interior Designer

Location: Bryan, TX

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a talented and driven Interior Designer to join our Furniture Design Team in
College Station. This role is central to supporting and cultivating sales throughout our portfolio of
offerings that include, healthcare, hospitality seating, and other ancillary products. This role also
serves as a resource to the Architecture & Design (A&D) community, Purchasing Departments,
Project Managers, and end users alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with both clients and colleagues to ensure outstanding service and results
  • Contribute to sales initiatives by preparing RFP responses, design concepts, and budgets
  • Anticipate and address potential design or installation challenges early in the process
  • Lead clients with confidence in a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere
  • Demonstrate strong design abilities, organizational skills, and clear communication
  • Execute all stages of the design process—from concept development and specifications to presentation, completion, and installation of commercial furniture projects
  • Maintain current product knowledge for all Teknion products and participate in ongoing training sessions as required

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional design experience (preferred)
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) & AutoCAD (required). Experience with CET, ProjectMatrix, Adobe InDesign, Bluebeam, and SketchUp (preferred)

Working Location:

  • Environment: Onsite/in person with potential for occasional travel to client sites or trade shows.
  • Hours: Full-time position with standard office hours, Monday thru Friday, 8:00A – 5:00P. Flexibility may be required based on workload.
